Associate Bio
Polly is an experienced and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist (SLT), who is passionate about helping children and young people reach their potential. She has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, an MSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy and has been practising as an SLT for 12 years in both the NHS and the independent sector.
Polly founded Thrive Speech and Language Therapy in 2019 so she could help our communities to improve children’s communication skills. Polly supports children and their families and supports education and healthcare professions to empower them to be confident in the support they are providing to our children. Polly uses simple but effective techniques in support of a wide range of communication difficulties including, attention skills, play skills, social communication, understanding of language, expressive language and speech sound production. She also delivers fun and engaging training as a way to share knowledge and ideas for grownups to support children in their own home or learning settings. Polly’s energy and enthusiasm enables her to develop excellent rapport with children and professionals, making learning enjoyable for all. Learning shouldn’t be a chore!
When Polly is not working, she is a busy mum of 3 children and enjoys running, touch rugby and socialising with friends.

Polly worked for the NHS for 10 years and now works independently in Surrey/Hampshire schools, nurseries, preschools and children’s homes.
