I’m Yesim Kunter, a Play Expert and Futurist deeply immersed in the world of play, catering to both children and professionals. Over a decade ago, I founded Yesimkunter Ltd. in the UK, where I’ve passionately crafted the ‘Play to Innovate®’ methodology after 18 years of studying play behaviors. Previous to my consultancy I worked for Toys R Us, Lego and Hasbro as a play futurist.


My journey involves developing innovative toy and game concepts, shaping new brands, and delving into product development for early ages. I’m not just about play; I’m about understanding the future needs of children and professionals alike, creating meaningful, joyous experiences for both groups.

As a Play Philosopher, I’ve had the privilege of leading ‘PlaytoInnovate® Workshops,’ training everyone from children to professionals in the art of creative thinking. Beyond workshops, I’ve collaborated with leading names in the children’s industry and professional sectors, applying play research methodologies to shape their products.

Being deeply involved in children’s media and play, I’ve spoken at conferences like TEDx and the Children Media Conference, sharing insights on the future of play for both children and professionals. My mission? To bring play and future understanding into the hearts of all, fostering creativity and innovation in every endeavor.
