problem

Award-winning international creative agency R/GA aimed to test a new and innovative feature in the McDonald’s Happy Meal app. Their goal was to evaluate the effectiveness and user engagement of this feature within the app, which is designed to enhance the overall Happy Meal experience. By integrating and assessing this cutting-edge functionality, R/GA sought to provide McDonald’s with valuable insights into how the feature could potentially boost app interaction and customer satisfaction. This initiative was part of a broader effort to leverage creativity and technology to drive meaningful improvements in digital experiences for McDonald’s young audience.

Solution

We conducted testing of the new app feature through video calls with child and parent pairs, ensuring direct observation of user interactions and feedback. These sessions were meticulously recorded to capture detailed insights into how the feature was used and perceived. The recorded sessions were then shared with key stakeholders to provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the feature’s performance and user experience. This approach facilitated an in-depth analysis, allowing stakeholders to make informed decisions based on real-world data and feedback from the target audience.
